Meeting Minutes

Roll Call: Cyndie, Barb, Kari, Paula, Dusty.

Approval of Minutes: Minutes not posted on site yet, will be voted on at January 2018 meeting.

Financial Information: Barb read September financial report. Motion made to approve by Kari, seconded by Dusty, motion carried, financials approved.

Public Input: None.

Old Business:

Cyndie is still working on securing workers compensation for meter reader. It should be complete by next meeting.
Board has been having problems with delays of claim payment and claims being lost. The board is now submitting claims directly to the county office and will be checking regularly to document whether payments are being made in a timely manner.
Cyndie is in the process of establishing a line of credit for the purchase of new meters and will update board at next meeting.
Paula is hoping to be able to cut stencils soon so meeting signs can be repainted.
There have been some questions about how often the pumps cycle in the booster house and how much water demand causes the pumps to come on. Barb and Cyndie are going to read the meters of the houses on the hill on Saturday and then take a reading in the booster house. The booster house reading will be taken again on the same day as the next meter reading so the board can compare numbers and continue tracking them if necessary.

New Business:

Barb wrote up a resolution to pay our bond. The resolution was read by Cyndie, a motion to approve payment was made by Paula, seconded by Dusty, motion passed and resolution for payment approved.
Paula asked if the board members needed to respond to texts received by the new automated system. All alarms should be handled by the system operator.
Cyndie suggested that we put a notice in the next bill about all system residents watching out for unauthorized users hooking up to our system. Non system members were caught trying to fill a tanker truck from one of our hydrants last summer. The board’s position is that we are not in the business of selling our water, it is for the residents and users on our system.
Board elections are coming up with one possible vacancy.
